FM Syndrome

FM Syndrome??
No its not the radio(Frequency Modulation) syndrome.
Its about the Forwarding Mails Syndrome.

The very first thing most IT people do after they come to office is check mails. Its the most important n inevitable routine followed. :), After 'reading', I dont think most people even bother to open most of the mails, they start fowarding mails to the group they created earlier, with 20 or 30 or 50 or more mail ids in the list.

Most of the mails contain the fav lines,

If u r a true Indian, fwd this
Wht the F, if u dont fwd the mail, how can the nationality change?
Fwd this to n people, ur wish will come true in n minutes
Then everyone can become GOD
If u dont fwd this, unluck will follow
What if there was no mailing system?
Dont break the chain
So what? every chain has two ends, tied or untied
Collection of signatures to President of India
Why bother our President's mail box

Many more may are there.
The most silly mail received just yesterday was the pattern follwed by the Terrorists in the bomb balsts.

13 May -------- JAIPUR
June---------NA----------
26 July ------------ AHMEDABAD
August ------------NA---------------
13 September ------------ DELHI
October ----------NA---------------
26 November --------------- MUMBAI
December --------NA(hopefully)--------------------
13 January ----------------- What Next?

But what the person who 'designed' the mail forgot was, 26 Nov Mumbai blasts were masterminded for 27 Sep, Gokul chats blasts were aug 25, Bangalore blasts were on 25 July, any clues to ur logic now??

I am not against the fwding mails. Just refine the fwd mails, what really is good or necessary or useful or pleasant.

A Quote

Every success or failure has 3 things behind:
jubilation of winner,
tears of loser and
a lesson for both.

I was talking to a friend the other day about how n why she had lost in the final round of an interview for her first job. It was an analytical discussion. I had to tell something which could create an impact on her. These lines came out randomly. I wanted to share this with u even. :)

A day with out Google

Imagine a day with out food n water in the middle of a hot desert. Nothing special scenario.
Imagine a day with out power. Not a problem.
All Google servers world-wide shutdown for 24 hours.
If u r a netizen (net citizen can be called as netizen), you might get an ache in the most wanted part of ur body, n u know wht it is, that is the last thing any one can think of or never ever dream about.

Ask ur TL or PM for any technical guidance in ur work, go Google it buddy will be the answer in majority times. Movie tickets(very very very important :P ), transport reservations, payment of bills, mails, chats, scraps, fav music or filmy stars wallpapers, mobile games n software, software codes, pin codes, phone numbers etc etc.. No these are not just the uses of Internet, these are where we need or use Google. Just type xxx in the Google tool bar or search bar, u will get wht u want. (Caution: Typing xxx may give u unwanted or undesired results :P )

Ask me wht is the greatest invention ever made by man, undoubtedly, Google would be my answer. NO, I am not a publicist for the logo or company. NO, I am not an employee for them. I am one among n-netizens or googleans like Humans, who use Google. I dont know whether the term googlean is there or not, go Google it n let me know :)

Dont dare to face the G-crisis, the Google-crisis, Join me to shout Long Live Google!

Bangalore Book Exhibition 2008

Bangalore hosts the book fest 2008. Palace grounds is the venue.

I love to read books, books of most genres, be it fiction or non-fiction, romance, biography personal development, historical etc. I avoid comics;even the worldwide best sellers like Harry Potter or Lord of Rings.

Almost 230 stalls put up in the event. Thousands may be lakhs of books on display for sale. Few stalls with the authors promoting their books with autographs. But I remember only one book The Shine, forgot the author name even. A very interesting promotional banner on display. The author of this book is right infront of u to take the criticism. Dare to tell him what a bullshit crap have u written, if u dont like the book. Of course I cant miss out the sales girl sporting a air-hostess costume in the stall.

Water water everywhere water, not a single drop to drink. Take it in positive. Books books every where books, cant decide what to buy.

Excluding comics, kids, spiritual sections, roughly about 170 stalls contained the fiction. Of these, around 40 stalls contained books by two authors. Jeffrey Archer and Sydney Sheldon. Followed by Kalam's Wings of Fire, Robert Ludlum, Chetan Bhagat and the new entrant, Aravind of The White Tiger Fame.

Yaak yaak, some technical stalls also were there. Watching all the Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, IBM etc stuff and the crowd inside these stalls over there reminded me of Vodafone tagline, Wherever you go our network follows.

I had heard a lot about P.Lankesh, Ananthamurthy and Ravi Belagare in Kannada literature. I had a thought inside, if I can read atleast ten lines with 70% accuracyand ease, I would buy a book from one or three of them. I lost, better luck next time.

Over 3 and a half hours inside the fest, walking all over the stalls n checkin the titles, so stressing n aching. Not much weight in purse to buy books, except for a title(secret :P) of Shobha De and Lajja by Tasleema Nasreen.

Over all: a must go for all book lovers.

Experienced and Unemployed

Hmmm!

A huge sigh...

My life is now where it started in Bangalore: JOB SEARCH. Only difference, I have some work experience behind me.

Plenty of time to do some things which I could not do when I was in job. Its just a break in between, after all. I can read few books which I have been waiting to read for quite some time, I can write about few thoughts wandering in my mind n a lot more. One more important assignment before me right now is to upgrade n update my skill set. Started reading 3 mistakes of my life by Chetan Bhagat. Too much of drag and cinematic in narration but I have to finish it. Spent Rs.95 on the book. paisa vasool!

Last day of my first job

Over 2 years have gone by, ever since I joined my first job in Bangalore. Today happened to be the last day at my first office. Not many sweet or sour memories but it was a good experience over there with my colleagues, clients n especially my boss, of course.

Pink Slips. Most happening term for the past few months across the IT world. Well, I actually was not handed but company had its own reasons to liquidate. Not much emotional farewell from office, after all after 2 years at a single place one expects a bonding with it. Walking out of office with my papers was feeling good. But deep some where in heart, fear factor. Fear about the career. Fear about future. But I wak walking out with a close-up ad smile on my face. May be an inner voice was telling me, every thing is gonna be ok my friend, chill n smile.

Wish me all the best to my career!

Beautiful lines I read : 1

If you don't get what you want, you suffer.
If you get what you don't want, you suffer.
If you get exactly what you want,
You still suffer because you can't hold onto it forever.

From the book Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman

One of my many dreams fulfilled

Oct 12 2008
Chinnaswamy Stadium
Bangalore
Day 4 of Test match, India vs Australia

One of my role models, Sourav Ganguly.
He certainly is one of the greatest cricketers world cricket ever had.
Look for aggession, look unto Dada.
The name most Australians hate.
Trade mark beautiful front-foot sixers.
Only next to God on off-side.
Royal Bengal Tiger.
A never-dying Phoenix.
Thesaurus to come back.
Most successful captain(till now) Indian cricket ever had.
Controversies? Which person on earth does not get involved?

It was my dream. A dream for over 13 years. Watch Sourav in person. Today it turned out to be a reality. Seeing him play for India in his last test series. A very gr8 feeling.

Lost in the last round

In search of a better job n company, by default better pay, I attended for the interviews of a company. I faced 4 rounds, of which 3 I could make through. I was kicked out in the last round. The reasons: we need at least 6 months of experience on VB and your(mine) performance was not upto mark in the last round.

Even before I sat to write the written test, the first round, I explained to them that I had 2 years of experience in coding using VB.Net and I had no coding experience in VB language even though I was the part of the team developing the product using VB. 2 days of leaves I had to spare to attend the rounds and after the round 4 on second day, they realised that they wanted a person with VB coding experience.

No blames buddies... u got a better software developer than me I guess....

Using Google or Utilising Google? Tips for better search on Google

Just a Q for u..Do u use Google or utilize Google? Well most of us just use Google. I am sure, at the end of this article, Google search looks to u in a different way.

1. Using the double quotes or a plus operator in between the words
eg: Type sundar swaroop in your google search box and search. On the right hand side of the screen in the results page, you can see the number of results, google has brought for u.
Now change the keyword(the word or words u give to search the required information) to "sundar swaroop" and search again. Compare the number of results displayed n u find that there is a variation of few thousands.

Explanation: As we search with the first keyword, the google algorithm looks for all the records which contain the phrase sundar or swaroop or the combination of both. We certainly are not looking for sundar or swaroop but we are looking for sundar swaroop together. So that makes the difference.
To evaluate technically, with out the qouble quotes, the search query had like but the double quotes forced the query to use equals or =

The plus operator in between also functions almost the same as the double quotes. but the difference is , any content ending with the sundar and followed by swaroop is displayed.

2.filetype:
Syntax:filetype:fileformat keyword
This is a key word which is highly productive to u after this article. Suppose we are looking for some data in a specific file format like a pdf or doc or a power point presentation or an excel file etc.
eg: Search for a book titled Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum as u were searching earlier.
Also in a next tab or page, search with the keyword as filetype:pdf bourne identity.

Explanantion:Compare the results. For the usual keyword, we get lot of results but we need to go on a manual hunt to figure out, where the pdf file link is present. May be we need to navigate through multiple result pages also. But if we see the second keyword, filetype:, we find that the search results contain more of the pdf file links than the usual HTML or page links. Not just pdf, we can search using any other valid file format.

Limitation: The key word we enter should match the file name contained in the uploaded page.

3.Site:
Syntax:site:sitename or site extension keyword
We go a step ahead. With in a particular familiar website, we need to look for some content. Instead of searching through out the net for the content, we reduce the risk to the particular location.
eg: Search for the wallpapers of Katrina Kaif as the usual search, we used to do. Now search the same with site:santabanta.com katrina kaif

Explanation: Here we already know that the particular wallpaper we are looking for is in the santabanta.com website. So instead of searching through out again n going to the website and using an internal search in the site, bla bla... all that is no more, just use the key word site: and get the pic.

The site: keyword also is very much useful while looking out for some public docs in a government website. Something like a particular G.O or an amendment in some particular Act etc.. Here I was able to know some of the content of 610 G.O, related to the Andhra Pradesh Govt.
(Caution: Dont try to mess up with the govt sites, use this for constructice purposes only. Google also does not take responsibility for any illegal activity.)
Let us go further in the site: key word. Just try the search as site:sundarswaroophere.blogspot.com html
The results display all the pages with extension .html which are posted by me from the beginning of the blog. Just try the search with your company site and other sites with other extensions like aspx or php or htm etc.... U can know all the publicly accessible pages available on the site.

4.Using *
eg:
What is the height of mount everest?
Mount everest is * feet high
Search using the above keywords.

Explanantion: Of course not much difference can be made out with the results, as the content is the most popular search. Try some other searches like the number of parliament members of India or the relation of two people like: * is the son of Mahatma Gandhi or AK 47 was invented by * etc..
So the logic here is, modify ur search from a question to a statement and the results are refined.

5.Conversions and Calculator
Google search can be used to convert one type of value to the other desired type.
Eg: 1 INR= ? dollars
This gives us the result as the value of a single rupee in dollars. Similarily, 1 foot= ? metres, 1 pound=? grams etc...

Google search can also be used as a calculator.
eg:4*7/2
This gives us 14 as result. This is a simple arithmetic, we can use the complexities like algebraic sin or cos values or square root functions etc

6.Range of numbers like price ranges etc using ..
We plan to buy a mobile or any other item with a fixed amount of budget and search for a mobile on the internet. We get lot of sites showing the prices. We need to fix a range of cost like 5000 to 10000 rupees and refine the search.
This can be achieved by just specifying range as mobiles $100..$200
The search now gives us the list of mobiles whose cost lies between 100 to 200$.

Limitation: Currently this search works 100% with in the US currencies. The Indian or other currency ranges may not give us the desired results.

7.Local Search
syntax:keyword location or keyword pincode
Most of us dont know that Google provides us with a lot of local search options. For eg, I need to search for some hotels with Italian food in Bangalore. Just search as italian food bangalore. We are welcomed with a list of well-known hotels in Bangalore city serving the Italian dishes. Even the route maps are located if the business entity has marked the location in Google maps, no fee of course n absolutely free.
Try the search for other options like movies or shopping or colleges or institutions or cabs etc...
eg: Righteous Kill Bangalore, Homam Hyderabad.
Note: The search results provided here depends on the sites containing the relevant information. The pincode option is limited to US and some other countries.
This feature is very much effective for the e-commerce listings. They can register with Google and get their business location displayed in the search results.

Some of the features discussed here are limited to certain parts like US only, Google is in the process of extending the services world-wide.
Happy Googling
Refer the links for the original documentation n videos from the senior Google Engineers like Matt Cutts etc..

Mistaken Mistakes

To err is Human, To forgive is Divine.

Every Human does mistakes, heard any one tell they never did a mistake? well the person must be the most sincere n honest liar.
When every body does a mistake, why do we hate a person who has done it to us? A mistake he/she does, hurts us a lot and we tend to hate the person. But when we commit a mistake we expect the same forgiveness which we had not given them. That's an irony we never think of.

To confess, in my life I have done many mistakes. Most of which showed me the real part of life, dimensions of failure, the real ME. How do we take the mistakes we do and the mistakes others do? In the right spirit or do we mis-take them? There is a line in the movie The Departed, it is not that we misunderstand some one, it is that we dont understand them. That line is very much true but a difficult one to make it a part of our life. Every mistake done has certainly a motive, intentional or unintentional, but the after effects are the same- hatred n seperation is the most sought solution.

Some times in life, we take sides for the ones we love. While doing so we hurt the friends who have been with us till the moment in the thick n thin phases of our life. May be we dont feel it as a mistake but the ones on the other side feel the heat. Give every one the chance to confess , take the chances to confess and forgive and forget all that negative ambiance whole heartedly. Rethink once, was it their mistake or was it a mis-take??

Whole hearted thanks to all my teachers

Teaching is an art; learning as well. Till death we involve in one or the other directly or indirectly.

Teacher, lecturer, professor, guru, sir, madam, ayyavaru, mentor.....

Hello reader have u ever thought about the time we have spent with teachers in different aspects of our life. Now that most of us have stopped in to regular academics, consider the past time till the day u quit the college or university.

It is really hurting to see the educational system today. Completely commercialized. Gone are the days where teachers were given importance, respect and role as the next parents. Teachers were an alias to parents. Earlier teachers had such an impact on students that before taking any step in their lives, students used to have a word or two with their favorite teacher and move on. Times have changed so have we.

Corporate education is on high these days. Scheduled teaching and forget about the class n students. Teach as per the pay.

Even though the society is losing the importance of the teachers and their role, literature and movies have never left. Recent blockbuster in Bollywood Taare Zameen Par has brought into lime light about the greatness and the real heart of a teacher. Superb performance from Amir Khan. In many south Indian movies, teachers are shown as a comedy element. It is bad that they are made fun of but good that the teacher concept is still unforgotten.

APJ Abdul Kalam has mentioned many times that he prefers teaching first of all the jobs. Many politicians have been teachers in their earlier lives like our Prime Minister ManMohan Singh, Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Jana Reddy, only to name a few. They have excelled in the fields they have been and an impact has been created by them on few individuals.

The growth of a nation depends on the literacy rate. Georgia is the country with 100% literacy rate. India ranks 147 with a literacy rate of 61%. It is a welcome move from the Times of India. Teach India program rather a movement is a welcome note towards a better educated society. The role of teachers is on the top. Not that people who are specialised in the teaching courses and degrees need to teach, any educated can be an effective teacher. Educate the very next illiterate to you and u r the teacher. Looks as simple as such but a very very hard task to do. Its not enough if we just plan things, DO is the keyword.

Poverty is the hindrance for literacy rate. The price of education has gone too far that a parent with a meager salary is scared to put his children into school. May be we need to take the lead and educate the people. Reach out to where there is no school. Fund the students to pursue higher education. Educate the parents before the children are educated.

But to be frank enough, we think about this today as it is Teacher's Day and tend to forget the next morning and I am no exception too. I am on a stronger mind to take on oath and shoulder a responsibility today not to forget.

My whole hearted wishes to my favourite teachers with out whom I am a nobody today.
Mrs. I.G.Vasanthi
Head Mistress of L.R.G.Vidyalaya, Hindupur
Mr. Joseph
my english teacher,Deepthi High School Hindupur
Mr.Vemanarayana Reddy
founder of Sri Vani Vidyanikethan, Gorantla

Thank you, thank you very much. You have been an inspiration to me.

D-Link launches video IP Phone

D-Link launches video phone, which works based on the Internet Protocol(IP). The devices exist already but USP of this is, it is Indianised. It works typically under the Indian conditions like lower bandwidths (as low as 128kbps) and cost-effective. Existing cost us a 75k, where as this will be available at 25k. One more revolution from India into the telecom domain.

Congrats team D-Link.
Also special hearty congrats to Mr.Srivaths(second from left), a dear friend from my Engineering course.

Launch of Chiranjeevi Party: Politics of India, Jumpers, Part 2-Is there really a need?

Megastar Chiranjeevi aka Konidela Siva Shankara Vara Prasad.

The name does not require an intro to the people of Andhra Pradesh. Almost 150 films to his credit. 30 years of experience in the filmy world. Many awards, laurels and millions of fans following, blood banks, eye banks, lots of social activities. A demi-god he is. As a person, he is very humble, sensitive and very human. I love all this about him.

But I am shocked about his entry into politics. Politics of course itself means a very negative tone in India. But it is really not so negative. A negative image has been created and born just beacuse of the way those politicians behave and their works and idiotic plots. Morality is a word which can never be found in the politicians.

Back to Chiranjeevi, he has taken a decision to launch a political party. Right now there are almost 45 parties representing in Andhra Pradesh(inclusive of the national parties like Congress , BJP etc) . Refer the link for the complete list of the political parties with the symbols allocated.
http://www.apsec.gov.in:8080/apsec/polilitcalpartindex.htm
(The site may be unavailable sometimes)
The list given does not include the would-be launching Chiranjeevi party, Nava Telangana Party by Devender Gowd, TRS(N) by Narendra. Close to a half century mark.

With so many parties floating around, can we just expect how a better government can be formed and they governing the state( applies to the entire nation also). A decision to be taken by the government requires the bill to be passed in the State Legislative Assembly, with so many "idealogies" around, how can a bill be passed so easily. Clearly it is a simple logic that no political party wins the clean majority so easily, to form a governement of its own with out the support of the other political parties. Simplifying, with so many parties around, can a non-hung government be formed easily?

Just at this moment, Chiranjeevi is ready to foray into state politics and form a government (assumptions going on as of now). The motive and principles on which he is planning to launch the party will be good, no queries about that. But if we just look into the current movements of the political 'leaders' from other parties, they are ready to jump into this particular party. The tag line of the Chiru party is, people are looking for a change and waiting for the right governance and Chiranjeevi is the answer. With all these jumpers around from the other parties into this party, where is the real change? It reminds me of a moral story(click to read it) which i read and heard as a child. Those people who are ready to join hands with Chiranjeevi are all the greedy and it is a very open secret. They are expecting, if the party goes on to form government, they can have some good posts. Can we imagine any other single motive? If they are really concerned about working for people, doing some good to the society, they can do it now any how. But what is the need to change the party? What sort of signal do they want to give to the people? Let us take some people who have openly expressed the desire to join Chiru party. HariRamaJogaiah (Congress), Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao(TDP), Bhuma Nagi Reddy(TDP) etc..many more to jump. I dont criticise them or oppose them, but as a neutral thought, I discuss. Jogaiah can easily serve people, as his party is in power now. He can bring pressure on government and do the good works to society. The other two leaders were respresenting a party which was in power for over nine years. The differences with in their political outfits forced them to leave their parties and join the Chiru party and clearly the motive of serving the people is left behind.

So a clear picture is visible here. The real intentions of Mr.Chiru are (may be) very good. But we welcome him, if he comes out with new faces and new leaders, real leaders, who are interested to serve the people with honesty and sincerity, else it would be a mere waste. More over, if his party people get corrupted( 99% probability is there), all the good name he has earned for the past 30 years(as a celebrity and a legend) will be ufff, gone. He can serve people and fight legally if required with his associations of organizations instead of a political party. Because an organization tends to be a more neutral platform to fight the corruption or bad governance.

Please think over it Megastar!

Once again, our Jumpers did a good job, shame shame...

PS: Personally I am a fan of Mr.Pawan Kalyan, the Power Star.

India gets a Gold

Congrats Abhinav!

Indian Shooter Abhinav Bindra wins a Gold Medal for India, and thats a good news to all the Indians world-wide.

I was discussing about the Olympics with my friends on the inaugural day. We were googling about the medals India got and the performance of India in Olympics so far. It was very much heart-breaking that India had no Gold medal in individual competition earlier. We had medals earlier, of course 8 Golds were from the Hockey game. We discussed what was lacking with us, efforts or resources or proper channel of approach or lack of enthusiasm. One conclusion we had after all the varying perspectives, we were unable to make it big at the event.

A Historical moment for India at Olympics. A day to be remembered for generations.

Congrats to Abhinav, u raised the tricolors and wishing all the best to all the other players who are ready to compete, give ur best n it rocks and cheer-up to all the lost players.

Balloon

I got a colorful balloon
I started filling it with my love
I kept on filling
Boom, it burst after some time

I got a colorful balloon
I started filling my love
I stopped and felt it was adequate
I hugged it
It made me happy
Hugged it tighter
Boom, it burst out

I got a colorful balloon
I started filling my love
I felt adequate
I held it lighter
A wind came and carried off the balloon

Balloons are the human relations!

Cannibals and Terrorists

I think few updates have to be made in the dictionaries.
Updates to be made:

Cannibal(noun): terrorist
Terrorist(noun): cannibal

Any difference between the two?
As humans, we should unite to fight back the terrorism or any other such barbarian acts. The only motive of the so called terrorists is violence. Can any one suggest or make out any other thing apart? If they tell they have any other motive, that can be recorded as the number one lie of the world.

We are humans first, then comes the nationality n all other stuff. Let every one of us remember this once again.

Deep condolences and heartfelt sincere sympathy to all the bereaved families and longing for the speedy recovery of the injured across the world irrespective of the nation they reside in, be it India, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, Combodia or any where, who have been the victims of these demonic acts.

Long live the HUMANITY

Good Moral Story

A very famous guruji had few disciples. One day the guruji felt some thing smelling very bad. He enquired about the smell. It was found to be the smell of socks, one of his disciples was wearing. Guruji ordered the disciple to change the socks and come. The disciple followed the order. But again the smell continued to be there. Guruji was very much annoyed and asked if he had changed the socks. The disciple replied that he has changed and showed him the fresh changed pair. But the bad smell continued to be there. Guruji again asked the disciple very angrily about the old pair, where he has kept them, the disciple simply took them out of his pocket. He was carrying them with him!

Moral: We change according to the times but it is very much required to learn what to keep with us and what to leave.

Politics of India Part 1: JUMPERS, need or greed?

Any where is possible. A guy who has some extra-ordinary powers in his DNA, teleporting they call it, can go to any place he wishes. Sees a picture of Pyramids, the next moment he is found sitting on the apex of those giant constructions enjoying his pint of beer. Oops, I better get into what I wanted to write not the review of the Hollywood movie JUMPER released earlier this year.

That was a film, but dont u think we can find JUMPERs in our very society?? Sure, we can. Politicians are the main people I am talking about.

Jumpers have been from ages. Every great kingdom had them. More of them were left out as backstabbers. For years together they stay with a person or a group or some ideology and jump out or part-away with some reasons. Not all reasons have sense. These jumpers try to show that there is a need why they jump, I am afraid, in most of the cases greed is the key. Yes, differences do arise, most of which can be fixed. But parting ways has always been the preference.

Recent moves of some politicians in Andhra Pradesh made me to write this. The names have not been mentioned but can be well understood who are from AP.

A prominent leader from the current opposition party of AP is the latest of our jumpers. He is said to be the number 2 , has been in the party for over 25 years, serving the party and people with various posts. But the consequences of his jumping should be thought of for a moment. I am bothered not about the party he quit or party he is going to join or party he is going to float, my concern is about the resignation from his post of MLA. Does not it lead to a bye-election again? Who is going to bear the election costs? The public. This gentleman has left his party with a demand; a demand which has been 'patented' by some other political party: separate Telangana State. Moreover, he is not interested to join hands with that party who are demanding the separate state from few years. But if he really wants to go on with his demand, cant he join that party and pressurize the government? Here is where the need n greed come into scene. It is left to who ever is reading this decide what his actual intention is.

There is one more political party formed demanding a seperate state of Telangana, out of AP. What is the need to split the state? They say that the other people of the state are exploiting them. Can any one please tell me what exactly has been exploited from them? When every resource is there in most parts of Telangana, isnt it their responsibility to use them? Every now and then, they come out with slogans demanding the separation of state and resigning from their posts. Was there really any need to resign? They could have chosen many ways to protest and get their demands done.

Most of those leaders in the party are those jumpers from other parties. The very founder of the seperate Telangana party himself was a jumper from a major local party. Adding more to this, the current head of that major local party was also a jumper from a national party.

Jump from one party to the other, resign from the post of MLA or MP. It is no more a child's play. I think a resolution should be made by the Govt of India and amended into the constitution to curb all these jumpers. Under any circumstances except death, a MLA or MP should not resign from the post which requires an election to replace him/her or change his party. Any person breaching this, disqualifies him/her or a related family member from contesting the bye-elections for the whole term and also there would be no candidate in the constituency for the party the person has resigned from or joined into, till the next general elections.

This is never really going to happen unless the Supreme Court intervenes and does some thing to save the country. May be as citizens of India, we can do some thing to alert the supreme body. Just think about it!

* I am writing this not as a spokesperson or an activist or a representative of any political party, even though I am a sympathizer for some party of my individual choice.

To Parents, With Love

This is an essay from a school day competition that got the First prize to a girl named Pinky.

Hii Mom and Dad

You are the best parents I have ever known. Mama and papa the best. Love you. You have always been very kind to me. I always got what I wanted. You have given me the best of the things I can ever have. The best mobile in market, the best laptop, made me a part of the best International school, clothes and accessories of the best brands.

I enjoy them. I enjoyed every gazette I had. I have very good friends at school. My teachers are all from the most reputed Universities. I am being taught the most required and happening technologies, languages, cultures, manners and what not, every thing very much required growing up in my career.

Mom and Dad, u are the best, I tell u. U have always given me all that was wanted. U have taken me to Disneyland all along, given me the biggest teddy which I find difficult to hug.

But dad I tell u, it wasn’t the teddy I wanted to hug always; it was your hug I always needed. I remember an ad in newspaper, a man posing in Raymonds suit and a baby on his chest with the captions Entrepreneur and Pillow respectively. I do get a doubt, have I slept on your chest and felt the warmth and protection of a dad? I have known different faces from my childhood, so called-nannies. I remember them carrying me around in the lawn of our home on their shoulders. The ad has made a stronger imprint on my heart and is embossed in my deeper thoughts.

Mom, I have the silkiest hair, silkier than those models shown in shampoo ads I feel. You have taken me the best manicure and pedicure centers in city. But mom, I always needed the motherly touch n feel which is no way compared to the rental touch n feel I get in those centers.Mom and Dad, I am not old enough to teach u, but the teachers at my school have always given me the best language and wording to use. You have provided me with all I wanted but it’s rather a sad thing to tell, I never got what I needed. Love n care is what I needed not all the materialistic stuff and technical worldly things. I always wanted to tell u this but I never found u sharing some time with me to discuss. U were always busy with your boss meetings or outings or team lunches, all alone I used to spend the time with the maid or friends at school. I can count on my fingers the quieter times we had for ourselves. We have always been out at the coffee days or pizza huts or malls. I always dreamt of spending some time with you quietly at home lying in mom's lap and clasp dad’s hand. The visualization fascinates me a lot. I love the mood of that. But the dream has always been a dream like water in a mirage. I enjoyed the dream. I hope my brother who is sleeping quietly inside mom gets all the love n care I have missed.

Love u

Pinky

The Comeback

I walk through
The mute clapping
With my demedalled neck
My ears echoing the blames around
Creating flames inside
An ache inside the heart
Chilling the blood
Blinding my eyes
Feet stumbling
On the shaken ground beneath
The feel taking away
My life, far away

An unanticipated path
THE FAILURE...
I take
Never a part of my plan

Eyes have famine of tears
I look back
To those glorious days
Of success n fame
Cheers n smiles

Time to rejuvenate
Shut the blames
Unmute the clapping
Medal my neck
Boil my blood of joy

I will
Get onto rails
My derailed dedication
Straighten my curved focus
Rebuild my abilities

My success has started
In learning from failure
Rising from failure

I will be the ultimate me
The synonym of success

*Inspired by the life of a person, who was a big success and is now in hibernation because of failures. Wishing the person all the best.....

We are sneaking into the concrete jungles, where the natural jungles are a history to most of us.

But passion is never a history.

He has explored few jungles of India, capturing some of the memorable frames of life there.

Asia's best Photographer award is one of the feathers in his cap.
He has contested for Sanctuary Asia Wildlife Photographer of the year 2007 and he was one of the winners. Incidentally, his work was the cover page of the Dec 2007 volume.
